President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been asked to resign immediately following the killing of over 200 people, including both women and children, by terrorists at Yelewata and neighbouring villages in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State last week.
“We call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign immediately for failing to protect our people.”
In a statement signed by Reverend Terma Akanbe Nenge, the interim President of the Middle Belt Patriotic on Monday, he also demanded the sack of the National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu for their inaction on the attack.

The statement revealed that the indifference of the President and NSA fueled the bloodbath, which betrayed the trust of the Middle Belt, and so they were unable to lead.
The Statement also warned that the people will resort to self-defence to protect their lives and properties, emphasizing that the region will not be erased.
It also called on the international community to hold the perpetrators of this act accountable stating that enough is enough.
