Eight Notorious Cultists Arrested by Police Officers in Anambra State

Eight notorious cultists have been arrested by the Anambra State Police Command after a raid of a criminal hideout in Okija, Ihiala Local Government area of Anambra State.

The suspects; 27-year-old Ugbe Lucky, 38-year-old Ekene Ebubeze, 25-year-old Somto Chukwu, 22-year-old Ifeanyi Eze, 31-year-old Chika Nnekezie, 26-year-old Chidi Amadike, 30-year-old Maduaka Obidiazor and 19-year-old Chinemelum Okeke, were arrested in the late hours of 23rd of March, 2021.

A statement by the spokesman to the Police, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, on Wednesday, revealed that three locally made double barrel pistols, one long locally made can’t gun, a live cartridge and others were recovered.

Others are; two knives, one jungle army camp beret, one red beret, 2 Police belt, one Shisha smoking pot and substance suspected to be cannabis sativa.
