Just-In: Abducted Commissioner Regains Freedom
The abducted Anambra state Commissioner for Public Utilities, Engineer Emeka Ezenwanne has been released following the attack at Isuofia Civic Center that led to the murder of three (3) Police Officers by some hoodlums.
The abducted Anambra state Commissioner for Public Utilities, Engineer Emeka Ezenwanne has been released following the attack at Isuofia Civic Center that led to the murder of three (3) Police Officers by some hoodlums.

This was made known on Sunday by the Anambra State Police Command who stated that the Commissioner got his freedom on 4th April 2021.

According to a statement by the spokesman of the command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, it revealed that the Police, Military and other security agencies had ‘mounted intense search and rescue efforts, which had closed in on his abductors, thereby forcing his release.’
‘The Hon Commissioner returned home unhurt, in the early hours of today 4th April 2021.’
Meanwhile, the police command had earlier arrested suspects in connection with the attack while calling for calm among citizens of the State.
