Tricycle Rider Shot Dead Allegedly by Military Personnel Over Money
A young tricycle rider known as Chinecherem has been shot down by some military personnel at a military checkpoint in Awgbu junction around Agulu, Anambra State on Monday.
A young tricycle rider known as Chinecherem has been shot down by some military personnel at a military checkpoint in Awgbu junction around Agulu, Anambra State on Monday.

It was gathered that Neche as fondly called had just bought a new tricycle and was driving it to his home town in Nkpologwu Aguata Local Government Area to break the news to his aged mother when he encountered the military men.

On reaching the military checkpoint, the military personnel asked him for some money but he told them he had no money. He was asked to park, while doing that, the military personnel thought he was trying to drive away and shot at him.
Unfortunately, Neche who was the last child of his mother died instantly died from the gunshot.
According to the military personnel attached to the Nigerian Army, he said it was a mistake.
Meanwhile the Director-General of Justice for All Citizens, a human rights group, Marvin Mordi has weighed in on the matter and demanded justice for late Neche and his family.
