ASUTIBS Calls Off Five Months Strike
The Academic Staff Union of Tertiary Institutions in Benue State, (ASUTIBS) has suspended its five months strike on Tuesday after an extensive meeting in Makurdi, Benue State.
The Academic Staff Union of Tertiary Institutions in Benue State, (ASUTIBS) has suspended its five months strike on Tuesday after an extensive meeting in Makurdi, Benue State.

A statement signed by the Chairman of ASUTIBS, Chagbe Kurayemen revealed that the strike was called off following a meeting with the Benue State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria and the delegates of the government of Benue State on Monday.

It was agreed that the government will clear off accumulated February, March and April salary arrears will be cleared off immediately after the strike is called off in the State.

The statement confirmed that with effect from 25th May 2022, the strike which has lasted from 10th January 2022 will be called off.
