Sad! Man Beats Wife to Death Over ‘Second Husband’

A 56-year-old man, Aminu Abubakar, has been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command for beating his 38-year-old wife, Nana Fadimatu, to death over a disagreement that ensued between them.

According to the reports, the suspect who was arrested on the 6th of May 2023 was a resident of Lelewaji, Shagari phase 2, in Yola South Local Government Area, and had an argument with the deceased over her decision to marry a new husband the next day.

Angered by that information, the suspect attacked the deceased by hitting her with a hard object on the night of the 5th May 2023, the deceased fell unconscious and was later pronounced dead.

Following this, the suspect who is a manager of Anasam Table Water at Jambutu 50 housing was arrested after a tip-off by the second husband-to-be, Mahmud Rufai of Shagari Annex, Yola South Local Government Area.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the couple had a child in their 9 years of marriage.
