Police Arrest Eight-Man Kidnapping Syndicate in Delta

An eight-man kidnapping syndicate that has been terrorizing Oghara, Sapele, and Warri has been arrested by the Delta State Police Command.

DSP Bright Edafe, the spokesperson of the Police Command revealed that the syndicate was arrested following intelligence information after they kidnapped and released a 43-year-old woman on the 19th of November 2023.

It was gathered that after kidnapping the unidentified woman and taking her vehicle when they ran out of fuel, they moved her into their operational vehicle.

Following intelligence, a decoy squad arrested the gang leader who confessed to the crime and also stated that the team was planning another kidnap.

The team laid ambush at the place of meeting and arrested seven other suspects.

Meanwhile, the Police revealed that the victim had identified all of them and their roles in her kidnapped.
