The Abia state Governor, Dr Alex Otti says that the highlights of achievements in the past two years is the fact that his government has raised a bar that no other government is permitted to bring down.

The Governor said this during the second year anniversary lecture themed, “Two years of Transformation: Sustaining the Momentum” held at JAAC building, Umuahia.

In his speech titled “Transformation: the first fruit if knowledge” expressed appreciation to the Keynote speaker, Dr Kalu Idika Kalu for his brilliant presentation that gave credibility to the scope of transformation in the state.

He described the renowned global economist and former minister of Finance, as one who has intellectual exposure to make critical evaluation of transformation in the state which he said, is the purpose for organizing the lecture, noting the critical areas of investment in health, knowledge and wealth for the present and future generations.

Governor Alex Otti however said that with the transformation witnessed in the state, no government will give excuses for not performing, promising to always celebrate achievement, while stressing that the decision for future leaders are in the hands of everyone.

Delivering his lecture, the renowned Abia born economist, Dr Kalu Idika Kalu highlighted key issues affecting Nigerian economy such as good governance, Structural change, Borrowing, Rule of Law.

He also noted the critical sectors that the Governor Alex Otti’s administration has achieved to include, Health, Education, Social infrastructure, power, water and housing, security and labour force.

The event attracted the presence of the Deputy Governor of the state, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu, and many other government functionaries, service chiefs, traditional and religious leaders in the state.
