Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, received a thunderous welcome on Friday as he arrived at the Port Harcourt International Airport, where thousands of jubilant supporters and stakeholders gathered to express their solidarity.

Touching down at exactly 12:15 p.m., Governor Fubara was received by his Deputy, Prof. (Mrs.) Ngozi Odu, and an array of political leaders, traditional rulers, and representatives from the 23 Local Government Areas of the state.

Solidarity songs echoed through the airport as the crowd surged with excitement, waving placards and banners in support of the Governor’s leadership. The show of unity and enthusiasm highlighted the continued popularity and grassroots support for the Fubara administration.

Visibly touched by the overwhelming display, Governor Fubara addressed the crowd briefly, describing the reception as “a powerful testament to the unity, resilience, and unshakable spirit of the Rivers people.”

“This outpouring of love reminds me of the responsibility I carry on behalf of every Rivers man, woman, and child. Together, we will continue to move our dear state forward,” he said.

Recall that the reinstated Governor failed to show up on Thursday, the 18th of September, after the State of Emergency was lifted from Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu following the 6 months.

Meanwhile, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, in a Channels Television Interview, has said that he will not interfere with the Commissioner’s list and appointment of Governor Fubara.
