Dr Uchechukwu Ogah Honoured as Investor of the Year at South East Business & Investment Summit
Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, FCA (CON), has been named Investor of the Year at the South East Business & Investment Summit (SEBIS), a recognition organisers described as a tribute to his longstanding commitment to economic revitalisation and indigenous investment in the region.

The award, presented under the theme Aku Ruo Ulo (Wealth Has Come Home), celebrates leaders whose investments are reshaping the economic landscape of the South East. Dr Ogah, President of Masters Energy Group, was hailed for his strategic vision, expansive industrial initiatives, and efforts to redirect development back to local communities.
One of the most prominent examples of his impact is the transformation of Onuaku Uturu, a once modest community that has grown into a thriving industrial hub. Through sustained investment, infrastructure development, and job creation, Dr Ogah has helped turn the area into a centre of enterprise, drawing new industries and stimulating local prosperity.
SEBIS organisers noted that his leadership at Masters Energy Group has set benchmarks in entrepreneurship, industrial growth, and value-chain expansion. Beyond the private sector, they highlighted his contributions in public service, describing him as a leader whose patriotism and integrity continue to drive meaningful national development.
Across the region, Dr Ogah is widely regarded as a champion of indigenous-driven economic transformation, inspiring a new generation of entrepreneurs with his commitment to building opportunities at home. His recognition at SEBIS is seen not only as an acknowledgement of past achievements but as a testament to an enduring legacy of vision, hard work, and regional advancement.
Abia Rejoice Media, in a congratulatory message, said the South East “proudly celebrates his accomplishments and the light of development he continues to shine across the region.”
