‘Sit-At-Home Will End Once Kanu is Freed’ – Ejimakor to Soludo
Legal counsel to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Aloy Ejimakor has described the ongoing Monday sit-at-home in the South-East as clear evidence of widespread dissatisfaction among the Igbo people over the continued detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

He made this statement following the shutdown of Onitsha Main Market for one week by Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo over the continuous refusal to sit at home by traders on Monday.
Soludo made it clear that sit at home is over in the State and anyone who is not ready to obey the laws of the State can leave the State.
Reacting, Ejimakor said the protest reflects deep frustration across the region and will continue for as long as Kanu remains in custody. According to him, the sit-at-home has grown beyond the control of government directives or executive orders.
“This truth is self-evident: The Monday SIT AT HOME in Southeast is the best evidence of how unhappy Ndigbo are over the travails of MAZI NNAMDI KANU & it will persist until he’s freed. And this: The #SitAtHome has reached a point where no Executive Order can end it; but it will end instantly on its own once #MNK is freed.”
He maintained that the sit-at-home would, however, end immediately once Kanu is released.
