Gunmen Allegedly Attack Tinubu/Ambo Campaign Convoy in Osun
The Osun State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Munirudeén Oyebamiji Ambo, has reportedly escaped an alleged assassination attempt after unknown gunmen opened fire on the Tinubu/Ambo campaign convoy.

The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, while the convoy was returning from the APC Ife Federal Constituency canvassers’ inauguration.
According to reports, the assailants fired several shots at the convoy, throwing members of the campaign team into panic.
Oyebamiji, who was said to be travelling with the campaign convoy at the time of the incident, reportedly escaped unhurt.
There has been heightened tension in Osun State ahead of the governorship election on the 15th of August, 2026.
