The Secretary to Abia State Government, Barr. Chris Ezem has urged one of the housemates of the recently concluded edition of Big Brother Naija (BBN), a television reality show, Cindy Okafor, to be a good ambassador of Aba where she was born and raised.
Barr. Ezem gave the advice when she visited him in his office in Government House, Umuahia, to canvass support for her pet project tagged “Who will be the next Cinderella” which is aimed at empowering young girls and inspiring them to be the best they can be. He called on her to also use her fame to promote Made in Aba brands.
Speaking earlier, Miss Okafor informed her host that she launched her pet project as a way of helping those who went through the same trajectory in life as she did before being selected as a house member in the popular television reality show.
According to her, “My plan is to train and equip at least one young girl every month to learn basic skills like fashion designing, hairdressing, bead making etc, as well as give materials and cash to enable them to set out and realize their dreams.
The Imo state born reality tv star described Aba as a place she calls home and applauded the government of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu for its efforts to improve the fortunes of the city through the provision of security and renewal of infrastructure.
