Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has vowed to defend the course of justice and protect the interest of the State and its people at all times, saying that he has no other choice, having sworn oath to do so as Governor of the State.
Fubara said this on Thursday during the opening of the 2024/2025 Legal Year and Re-Dedication Service at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul’s Diobu (Garrison), Port Harcourt.
The Governor also pledged to do all that is needed to support the Judiciary and it’s leadership to succeed in their onerous task of dispensing justice and ensuring fairness and equity in the State.
He charged the judges in the Rivers State Judiciary to be faceless and remain steadfast, even the face of political threats and intimidation from self-acclaimed powerful politicians.
