Lady Convicted for Attempt to Exploit Another
A State High Court in Kaduna has convicted Jennifer Markus, a 25-year-old woman, for attempting to transport another person for the purpose of exploitation.
During the proceedings, which were presided over by Hon. Justice Isiaka Abdullahi, it was noted that her actions were in violation of Section 13(2)(c) of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act of 2015.
Jennifer was convicted on November 11, 2025, and has been sentenced to one year in prison.
