Prophetess Arraigned for Allegedly Killing Church Member
A 49-year-old General Overseer of the All Saints Development Church of Christ, Igbara-Oke, Ifedore Local Government in Ondo State, Prophetess Serah Abuloye has been arraigned for allegedly killing a member of her Church.
A 49-year-old General Overseer of the All Saints Development Church of Christ, Igbara-Oke, Ifedore Local Government in Ondo State, Prophetess Serah Abuloye has been arraigned for allegedly killing a member of her Church.
The prophetess who was slammed with two count charges of conspiracy and murder, is accused of killing and dumping 37- year- old Adefunke Aselogbon in a bush behind her church on January 6, 2022.
It was gathered that the offence was committed at about 4.00 am along Isarun Road, Igbara-oke in Ondo State Magisterial District.
The Police Prosecutor, Obalasa Ajiboye noted that the offences are contrary to and punishable under Section 324 and 319(1) of the Criminal Code, Cap. 37, Vol. 1, Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria, 2006.
He also asked the court to remand the defendant to Correctional centres custody pending the outcome of advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Counsel to the defendant, Mrs Ola Adedire, did not oppose the prosecutor’s application.
Presiding Magistrate, Damilola Sekoni ordered the remand of the defendant in police custody and adjourned the case till February 18, 2022 for ruling on remand application.
