Abia 2023 Gubernatorial: Orji Insists on Zoning to Abia North

The Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District and former Governor of Abia State, Theodore Ahamefule Orji has urged politicians to sustain the peace in the State.

Speaking on Monday through a public notice made available on social media on Monday, Senator Orji maintained his earlier stance on the zoning of the governorship election in 2023.

Senator Orji had on March 10 2022 stated that through the zoning formula of Abia State, Abia North should produce the next governor of Abia State.

Insisting on his earlier position, Senator Orji recalled the statement of the PDP Abia State chapter zoning the governorship to Abia North and Abia Central, stating his decision remains sacrosanct and unambiguous.

“PUBLIC NOTICE: My Attention has been drawn to the News on Social Media Platforms and Handles concerning Abia State Governorship and where it is zoned to.

2. Let me state categorically clear that my earlier position on the subject matter remains sacrosanct and unambiguous.
3. All those working to set Abia State on fire should toe the path of peace, do a rethink and sustain the peace we have been savouring as God’s Own State.
