INEC Gives Political Parties Deadline to Conduct Primary Elections
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has given all political parties one month from today to complete their primary elections.
The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has given all political parties one month from today to complete their primary elections.

A statement signed by the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education, Festus Okoye Esq revealed that the last fixed date June 3 2022 remains the deadline for all primaries.

It further directed all Political Parties to submit their nomination for Presidential and National Assembly through its INEC web portal from the 10th to 17th of June 2022 while the nominations for Governorship and State House of Assembly will be from the 1st of July to the 15th of July 2022.

The Commission disclosed that it will ensure that there are free and fair elections in the upcoming party primaries in the State.
