Nursing School: Abia Govt. Sets Up Committee to Uncover Allegation
Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti has set up a committee to uncover the allegations of manipulation of results raised by aspiring students of state-owned nursing schools a few days after the Preliminary Test Sessions, PTS, examination was concluded.
Abia State Governor Dr. Alex Otti has set up a committee to uncover the allegations of manipulation of results raised by aspiring students of state-owned nursing schools a few days after the Preliminary Test Sessions, PTS, examination was concluded.

“In line with the commitment of the present administration in the state to transparently and holistically address the complaints arising from the just concluded Preliminary Test Sessions (PTS) examinations into the state-owned nursing schools, His Excellency, Dr. Alex C. Otti, OFR, has set up a special committee to look into the allegations of manipulation of results and other protest issues as raised by the students.”
This was made known by Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communication, Mr Dodoh Okafor on Wednesday urging students who are directly involved to send a petition for proper investigation.

“Sequel to the above, the State Government invites students who were directly involved in the examinations and associated processes and are convinced that standard procedures were deliberately sabotaged to quickly send their petitions to the office of the Chief of Staff to the Governor for proper investigations and other necessary administrative actions.”
The State government while urging all students and the general public to submit their petition before the close of business on Friday, 17th November 2023, assured that the allegations would be properly investigated and the perpetrators duly charged for the crime.
The PTS examination result was released a month after the examination took place and there were accusations that candidates who scored the lowest mark were shortlisted while candidates who scored higher marks were left out of the entrance result.
