Police Arrest Three Suspects for Theft, Others
Three suspects 24-year-old Eze Ebuka, 21-year-old Nnamdi Chukwuemeka, and 31-year-old Friday Ilo, all males, were arrested on June 7, 2024, around 2 p.m., for theft of several motor vehicle batteries on a construction site in Awkunanaw, Enugu State.

According to the Police spokesperson, ASP Daniel Ndukwe on Sunday, stated that their arrest followed investigations toward their activities upon receipt of complaints.

“Eze Ebuka and Nnamdi Chukwuemeka, who were initially arrested in the act, upon interrogation confessed to having stolen many batteries, as alleged, and sold them to Friday Ilo, who was later arrested. Fifteen (15) batteries, including those of articulated and other motor vehicles, and tricycle, were recovered from them.”
It stated that the suspects will be arraigned and prosecuted once investigations are concluded.
