The management of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has denied the rumour of using stipend for corps members to settle bandits ravaging the country.

The management of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has denied the rumour of using stipend for corps members to settle bandits ravaging the country.
There has been rumours of the Federal Government using stipends set aside for corpers to settle bandits who have been kidnapping school children in the Northern States.
Through its management, NYSC made it clear that it was only rumoured and that corpers will get their allowance as at when due.

TO ALL CORPS MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC
The Management of the National Youth Service Corps wishes to alert members of the public, especially Corps Members on the fake news currently trending, which states that Corps Members will be paid the February monthly stipend at the end of March 2021, as the fund appropriated for the stipend had been expended on the settlement of bandits.
Management enjoins all to disregard in its entirety the story which is the handiwork of mischief-makers.
Management admonishes the originators of this falsehood to refrain from such criminal acts. Corps Members are advised as always to only rely on the information on the NYSC platforms.
The welfare of Corps Members shall continue to be accorded top priority by the Scheme.
