Breaking! Ahaiwe Wins Abia PDP Primaries
Chief Okechukwu Ahaiwe, the former Chief of Staff to Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has won the special Gubernatorial primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abia State.
Chief Okechukwu Ahaiwe, the former Chief of Staff to Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has won the special Gubernatorial primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abia State.
The primaries were organized due to the death of its PDP gubernatorial candidate, the late Professor Uche Eleazar Ikonne who died on the 26th of January 2023 after a brief illness.
Ahaiwe contested against Deputy Governor Sir Ude Okochukwu who scored 12 votes, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe 12 votes, Sampson Uka Orji 11 votes and
Okey Ahaiwe 469 votes.
The results which were called out by Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State announced 12 invalid votes.
