Protesters in Osogbo, Osun State have called out President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the current high cost of living in the country.

The protest which was led by the chairman of Osun Civil Societies Coalition, Mr Waheed Lawal, on Thursday was closely watched and monitored by police officers.
Addressing the protesters who marched from Freedom Park, Osogbo, moved through MDS road to Olaiya Junction, Mr Lawal stated that nothing was working since the inception of President Tinubu.
“No one believes things will turn out like this. We did not write a letter inviting Bola Tinubu to become our president.
“He was the one who said it was his time ‘Emilokan’ and chose to be the president. Now that he has become the president, nothing is working under him.

“Our coming out today is just to sound a warning that we will soon come out in full to occupy the street and that protest will be massive.
“The Organised Labour in Osun begged us to shelve today’s protest since they are planning one for next week and we are under the union, but we told them we can’t shelve it, but we can only make it minimal.
“We are calling on President Tinubu to return the subsidy on fuel. The hardship is too much. We can no longer eat good food. We are not going to take it lightly with the government unless they do the needful.”
Nigerians in Niger, Oyo, Ondo State have staged protests following the high cost of living which emanated from the fuel subsidy removal.
