Otti Seeks to Boost Power Distribution in Abia, Discusses Security with AIG
Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, held a crucial meeting on Friday, February 7th, with a team from Geometric Power Limited, led by Chairman Prof. Barth Nnaji, and Managing Director of Stanvian Energy and Transcorp Power, Afam, Engr. Vincent Ozoude.

Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, held a crucial meeting on Friday, February 7th, with a team from Geometric Power Limited, led by Chairman Prof. Barth Nnaji, and Managing Director of Stanvian Energy and Transcorp Power, Afam, Engr. Vincent Ozoude. The discussion focused on strategies to expand electricity distribution in the Ukwa area to enhance productivity and economic growth in the region.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Governor Ukoh Njoku Ukoh saw the participation of the Honourable Commissioner for Power and Public Utilities, Engr. Ikechukwu Monday, and the Governor’s Technical Assistant, Mr. Charles Egonye, who contributed to deliberating the modalities for improving the state’s power infrastructure.

In a separate engagement later in the day, Governor Otti received AIG Suleiman Amuda Yusuf, the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 9, which includes Abia, Ebonyi, and Imo States. AIG Yusuf was on a routine operational visit to the Governor, where they held a closed-door meeting to discuss critical security concerns affecting the state.
According to the statement, these developments reflect Governor Otti’s commitment to improving both the power sector and security in Abia State to foster growth and ensure the safety of its citizens.
