Acting on reliable intelligence, the troops launched the operation and engaged in a fierce gun battle with the kidnappers.
According to Major Emmanuel Onoja, Assistant Director of Public Relations for the Army, the rescued victims received medical attention and support before being reunited with their families.




Reports indicate that the victims had been held captive in the forest for several days, with the kidnappers demanding significant ransoms for their release. The prompt and coordinated actions of the troops disrupted the criminals’ plans and provided relief to the victims and their families.
The Nigerian Army urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies promptly.
