Police Arrest Three Suspected Gun Runners in Abia
The Abia State Police Command has arrested three elderly men alleged to be part of a gun-running network operating within the state.

The suspects, including 65-year-old Nworu John, 65-year-old Chikezie Ubani and 55-year-old Collins Ukandu, were apprehended in the early hours of Thursday during a targeted intelligence-led operation in Obingwa Local Government Area.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen C. Chinaka, operatives acting on credible intelligence stormed the location and recovered seven assorted firearms, including two automatic pump-action guns, three locally made double-barrel guns, one single-barrel pump-action gun, a locally fabricated six-round revolver, and four live cartridges.
The statement also revealed that the suspects are currently undergoing interrogation as investigations continue to unravel the full extent of their operation.
