As he shared on his Instagram post…
alibabagcfr Hmmmm… one bad apple doesn’t spoil there whole bunch. But it must be said, if this youths were gainfully employed… this would not have happened. They would have been somewhere
earning their pay. Many of them with the talents that is in them would have embraced opportunities that would have made over 30 of them there just like who is in that Gwagon. Like I said once, a Niger Deltan who is working, earning a good salary, has mouths to feed and goals to achieve will not become a militant. While it’s not wrong to say SOME NIGERIAN YOUTHS ARE NOT WILLING TO DO ANYTHING, It is wrong to generalize.
If you have attended events in the last 15 years in Lagos… there are certain faces you can bet would be at the gate waiting for people to bless them. I have seen many of you haven’t. What will you call that? While there are many of those, there are hard working youths that make us proud. THESE ONES, WITHOUT PARENTAL OR GOVERNMENT SUPPORT, PULLED THEMSELVES UP FROM NOTHING AND THROUGH SERIOUS WORK, MADE IT… AND ARE HELPING TO MOP UP A FEW UNEMPLOYED.
To deny there are some who do not want to work will be covering up the truth. It’s like saying when people say Nigeria is a lawless country. Then we all get up in arms and start to counter the statement. Yet examples of lawlessness are around us daily. We are not all lawless. But if many of such lawlessness keep occurring without punishment then you can not blame whoever makes that statement.
Regarding the “youths do not want to work, they sit back and expect everything to be done for them because we have oil”… I will add it can not be a blanket accusation. I repeat, there are lots of hard working Nigerian youths… sadly because of how governments after governments have not addressed the overwhelming number of unemployed citizens… we can not run away from the sad reality of the nation.
Watch here…
