The Governor of Kaduna State Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has reacted to the cancellation of his invitation as keynote speaker by the Nigerian Bar Association in its 2020 conference.
He stated that he was sought out to speak at the platform and never sought the NBA out.
He blasted the NBA of its decision disclosing that it listened to a one-sided argument when it’s platform should be of justice but rather, it embraced ‘injustice, unfairness and absence of fair hearing’.
Remember that lawyers agitated and withdrew attendance to the NBA conference when Mallam El-Rufai was disclosed as one of the speakers of the event. The lawyers cited evidence where he has stifled the rule of law and told the NBA to either remove him or see them boycott the conference.
Femi Falana, SAN, also wrote a letter citing when El-Rufai started flouting court orders and revealed why such a person should never be allowed to speak to the noble association of lawyers.
The NBA bowed to pressure and uninvited El-Rufai as one of its speakers at NBA’s 2020 conference.
In a letter signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication, Muyiwa Adekeye, stated the achievement of the Governor and how far he has gone in securing peace in his State.
He also reminded the people that Mallam El-Rufai is focused and will continue to speak at the National Conference in the country.
