Breaking! Police Escorts Attached to VIPs Withdrawn

The Inspector-General of Police Mohammad Adamu has directed the immediate withdrawal of all police operatives attached to VIPs.

This was made known by the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Police Headquarters Abuja on Wednesday through a wireless message sent out to all stations.

He stated that any police operative found guarding a VIP with or without a firearm will bear the consequences.

The release excluded police attached to government houses like Senate President, Speaker House of Representatives.
