Unknown gunmen have killed three policemen at a checkpoint at Neni junction in Anaocha local government area and three naval officers at awkuzu in Oyi Local Government Area, Anambra State.
It was gathered that the incidents happened around 5 pm on Thursday simultaneously while their security vehicle was also burnt by the gunmen.
The gunmen made away with their rifles and ammunition.
Several attacks on policemen have been recorded in the region in recent times while the Anambra State Police Command have intensified effort to bring safety to the region.
