The physical registration of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has commenced at designated centres nationwide on Monday, 26th July 2021.
According to a statement signed by the National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, it revealed that online registration has hit one million voters.
The statement also revealed that Nigerians who pre-registered online can now complete their registration at designated centres based on appointments.
However, the online and physical voters registration exercise will be suspended on the 30th of June, 2022 to enable the commission to clean up data and compile it for the 2023 general election.
It also made it clear that the exercise is for Nigerians who have never registered and who are 18 years and above.
