Shehu Sani, former Senator representing Kaduna Central has warned against appointing ex-governors who are yet to account for how they governed their States, stating that such appointment does not send a good signal.
“It will be most unconscionable to think of rewarding or appointing former Governors who looted their states and left their people in poverty and debt into office. Two people in detention, while the members of the defunct cabal, ex-ministers, and ex-Governors are not called to account don’t send a good signal about a new dawn.”
Sani said this after it has been rumoured that some former governors and ministers who ‘helped’ President Bola Tinubu during the election will make his ministerial list.
Though no Minister has been appointed, Tribune Online has reported that former governor Nyesom Wike and others made the list.
