The Nigerian Army captured Lot Dauda, an alleged murderer of Mrs Dorathy Jonathan who had gone to the farm to fetch firewood at Afana village in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of the State on Friday, 1st of September 2023.
The victim, Mrs Dorathy was killed in cold blood when the suspect and another approached her for sexual intercourse while working on her farm, a request which she refused and led to her murder.
Sharing the news on Thursday, the troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH) disclosed that the suspect confessed to having committed the crime alongside an accomplice (name withheld) now at large.
Vowing to bring justice to Southern Kaduna and its environs, the troop revealed they acted on credible information and were intensifying efforts to hunt down the accomplice of the suspect while the arrested suspect would be charged to court once the investigation is completed.
