Plateau Massacre: Governor Muftwang Says Confessional Video of Victims Doctored

Plateau State Governor Caleb Muftwang has stated that the circulating videos of speeches from victims of the Plateau State massacre by terrorists were doctored and assured that a thorough investigation is underway.

“My Administration and I are fully aware of the concerns circulating regarding the alleged doctoring of speeches from victims. I want to assure you that we take these matters seriously, and a thorough investigation will be conducted to address any potential manipulation.”

A video was circulated on Monday where victims of the Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas attack allegedly revealed that they were attacked by locals who knew them. The attack on the LGs claimed about 200 lives.

Cover Muftwang stated that the issues of the incessant killings in the State called for collective dedication, unity, and peace to achieve togetherness in the State.

“However, amid these challenges, let us not lose sight of our primary goal – the pursuit of unity and peace within our beloved state. We must remain focused on fostering understanding, empathy, and cooperation among our diverse communities.

“The issues at hand require our collective attention and dedication. Together, let us rise above distractions and work towards a Plateau State where every voice is heard, every concern is acknowledged, and where the path to unity and peace is paved with the strength of our shared commitment.

“I urge each one of you to stay informed, engage in constructive dialogue, and spread awareness about the realities our state faces. By fostering open communication, we can build bridges that lead us toward a future where Plateau State thrives as a symbol of harmony and progress.

“Thank you for your steadfast dedication to the values of unity and peace. Together, we will overcome challenges and build a stronger, more united Plateau State for generations to come.”
