Uzodinma Declares Imo State One-Party System, Says Opposition Nonexistent
Governor Hope Uzodinma has declared Imo State a one-party system, claiming opposition parties have become nonexistent.

Governor Hope Uzodinma has declared Imo State a one-party system, claiming opposition parties have become nonexistent.
He made a declaration during the commissioning of newly constructed roads, where Uzodinma welcomed the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, and other national party leaders.
According to Governor Hope Uzodinma, the APC’s success in the state can be attributed to its people-oriented projects, which have resonated with the rural population. The governor also stated that the party’s performance over the past five years has won the hearts of Imo residents, making the APC a dominant force in the state.

Uzodinma asserted that opposition parties have abated due to the APC administration’s visible progress. He cited the party’s sweep of the State House of Assembly and Local Government Area (LGA) elections as evidence that opposition parties no longer have a voice in the state’s political landscape.
The governor expressed delight in the APC leadership and pledged to continue delivering infrastructure and human capital development projects.
