Police Arrest Notorious Cultist/Armed Robbery Suspect
Rivers State Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU) has arrested 35-year-old notorious cultist and armed robbery suspect Innocent Chigozie for multiple offences.

Rivers State Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit (AKU) has arrested 35-year-old notorious cultist and armed robbery suspect Innocent Chigozie for multiple offences.
The Spokesperson of the Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, on Tuesday, revealed that the suspect,t, who is the leader of a cultist gang, had been terrorising farmlands at Uzo Afor road in Okahia Community, Elele, Etche LGA.
He said that gang activities have caused widespread panic and tension in the community.

She pointed out that the suspect, who was arrested on the 30th of January 2025, at about 0630hrs, through credible intelligence in his hideout, engaged Police Operatives of the Command in a gun duel but was chased away last year.
“During interrogation, the suspect confessed to owning the recovered exhibits, which include One Automatic Pump Action Gun, Two Live Cartridges
“The suspect and exhibits are currently in police custody. The investigation is ongoing, with efforts intensified to apprehend other fleeing gang members and recover their operational weapons,” the statement concluded.
