Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Awkuzu have arrested three additional suspects in connection with an ongoing armed robbery investigation in Anambra State.
The arrests followed the confession of a detainee currently in police custody, leading officers to Agukwu-Nri in Anaocha Local Government Area in the early hours of May 30, 2025. The suspects, identified as Monday Onoja, Sanusi Muhammed, and Kenneth Nwokpu, are all males aged between 27 and 32.
According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga on Monday, the operation also led to the recovery of an automatic pump action gun, a white Mercedes Benz C300 4MATIC with registration number KWC 140, an ash-coloured Lexus 350 with registration number 669 CY, and two high-end mobile phones suspected to have been stolen from victims.

Police say investigations have been expanded to track down other gang members currently at large, with efforts intensifying across the state.
The Anambra State Police Command continues to urge the public to remain vigilant and to provide useful information that may aid ongoing investigations.
