Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA has vowed to fine or suspend the flight operations of any international airline that airlifts Nigerians halfway to their destination and then deports them.

This followed a series of complaints from passengers who reported being denied boarding or entry due to visa and travel restrictions at intermediate or transit stops.
According to a statement by Michael Achimugu, the Director of Consumer Protection and Public Affairs, on Friday, such practices are unacceptable, and the NCAA will no longer tolerate them.

It warned all international airlines operating in Nigeria to desists from such practices or face sanctions or measures deemed necessary.
It urged the airlines to cooperate in maintaining the integrity and professionalism of the Aviation industry as well as maintain the well-being of Nigerian passengers.
