NAFDAC Raids Facility, Arrests Two Over Counterfeit ‘Bullet’ Drink Production
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has uncovered a suspected counterfeit beverage production facility at Zamfara Plaza, BBA Trade Fair Complex, Lagos State.
The operation led to the arrest of two suspects who were allegedly caught revalidating and repackaging various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
According to the agency, the products found at the facility included energy drinks as well as popular wine, Bullet drink and whisky brands.
NAFDAC officials reportedly seized materials and products linked to the suspected illegal operation as investigations continue into the source and distribution network behind the counterfeit beverages.
