Celebrated Rapper Nana Yaw Yeboah Adjei known in the showbiz world as Guru says the entertainment industry in Ghana is dangerous, therefore one needs to pretend and act as if he or she is cool with everyone just to sail through success.
He indicated that people making up the industry are self-centred and always want the best for themselves at the expense of their colleagues.
Speaking in an interview, the ‘Bad Energy’ hitmaker said “The things happening behind the scenes in the industry is alarming and unfortunate. For you to vibe with them, you’ve got to pretend else you can’t achieve anything. Personally, I’ve been sabotaged a lot in reference to ambassadorial deals, awards, the amount paid after a performance and a whole lot.”
Your colleague can talk to an event organizer and take huge money and the person will come to you trying to give out something small to help him on the event day. Sadly, after taking the meagre amount because of brotherly love, he’ll go out saying like Guru is a cheap artiste”, Guru lamented.
Guru is considered by many as a contemporary hiplife artiste, as his songs venture new ground in the Ghanaian music scene mixing hip hop, afrobeat, highlife and dancehall sounds.
In 2018, Guru dropped his album titled ‘Journey of Judah’ which featured the likes of Sarkodie, Harrysongs, Lil Shaker, and Ofori Amponsah.
