SARS: Police Officer Caught Harassing/Threatening Citizen Faces Dismissal – IGP Blows Hot
The Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu, has directed that any Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad team caught harassing any citizen will be immediately dismissed.
The Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Adamu, has directed that any Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad team caught harassing any citizen will be immediately dismissed.

He stated this on Tuesday after the upsurge of complaint of extortion, harassment and killing of citizens by SARS, FSARS, STS and IRT.
He further directed that a dispatch team comprising of enforcement and monitoring team should be sent across the 36 states of the country to relay the information and to monitor their operation.
He also stated that no police on mufti should be seen on routine patrol and that SARS will only be involved in serious cases of crime.
