Amidst the rumour that the man, Anthony Ikpeama, who killed his wife has been released after presenting a medical report, the Lagos State Police Command has denied the report.
According to the spokesperson, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the man who was arrested after being on the run was still in the custody of the police.
Anthony killed his pregnant wife, Adaeze Ikpeama by turning her into a punching bag until she slipped into a coma in the Ajah area of Lagos state on Saturday, April 10, 2021, but Anthony didn’t stop there.
Anthony joined the neighbours who took her to the hospital, when everyone left them, he unplugged her oxygen mask which caused her a cardiac arrest that led to her death.
But when the police spokesperson was contacted, he denied the report, Mring Mr Ikpeama is still in custody at the Ajah police division. He described the report as false.
”This is not true oo, he’s in d cell now. It’s He’s. He’s having a meal now at Ajah Division” he said.

Update on Late Destiny Ikpeama
Mr Tony Ikpeama, the wife beater who allegedly killed his wife has been released from police custody.
He was granted bail this morning by the men of Nigerian police under the pretense that his 2 kids at home are too young to be left alone without any supervision.
He promised to come back to the police station but has failed to do so.
But here is one interesting thing; the wife beater has money to throw around and who knows, money to buy justice so he is using the money to influence final outcomes to his advantage.
From procuring a fake doctors report to exonerate himself that he was not the one that killed his wife rather she died a natural cause to bribing the policemen at the station where he was detained to allow him to go this morning.
The deceased family especially the Mum that she left behind are clueless what to do and where to go from here.
This is not how to build a just country that works for every one.
Update: The wife beater has been re arrested by men of Nigerian force after this story went viral.
He is spending the night at Zone 2 Police command in Lagos.

Mr Tony Ikpeama, the wife better who allegedly murdered his wife has been re arrested this evening after the post I did about his release today went viral.
My Tony was released this morning to go and look after the two kids but was re arrested this evening after my post went out.
He has been taken to Zone 2 police command in Lagos as was instructed by the AIG where he is currently spending the night.
I will continue to make further update as I receive them.
