NPC Commissioner: Kidnappers Demand N5 Million Ransom

Suspected kidnappers are demanding N5 million after kidnapping a Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission, NPC, in Bayelsa State, Mrs. Gloria Izonfuo on Sunday, 24th April 2023.

Reports reveal that Mrs. Gloria was abducted alongside her driver and maid at Ogbakiri junction on the East-West road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital at 6 pm while on a trip to Brass in Bayelsa.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, said the Commissioner of Police has mandated tactical teams to ensure the immediate release of the victims.
