Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, has made a 50% reduction in the school fees of students schooling at Taraba State University, Jalingo, following the unbearable hardship and burdens on citizens.
Sharing the news on Wednesday, Governor Kefas also charged the management of the school to expedite action on the accreditation processes for some unaccredited courses – especially Law and Medical Laboratory Science.
Governor Kefas who paid an unscheduled visit to the school stated that citizens of the State deserve access to Education and promised to renovate the female hostel of the school to improve the living condition of the students.
His full statement reads, “The tenacity to do all that is necessary, within the powers and reach of a true Servant-leader, is all the energy we need right now.
This afternoon, I made an unscheduled visit to Taraba State University, Jalingo. After engagements with both the Management and Students of the Institution, there will be a 50% reduction in School fees, effective from the next academic session.
This development became very necessary because we must ensure Tarabans have access to Education, without unbearable burdens.
Following reports on my desk and via Social Media, I charged the Management to expedite the accreditation processes for some unaccredited courses – especially Law and Medical Laboratory Science.
During this visit, I also checked the Female Hostels which will experience immediate renovations, to improve the living conditions of Students.”
