Group of protesters on Wednesday asked the Kaduna State Government to prosecute the immediate past Governor of the State Nasir El-Rufai over the alleged looting and mismanagement of N423 billion.
The Kaduna State Assembly had through a committee set up to investigate the financial records, loans and contracts awarded by the past administration accused Mr El-Rufai of stealing the said money.
People from different communities held placards which read; “Say No to El-Rufai, Prosecute him now” “Accidental Politician turned Damage Contract” “El-Rufai looted Kaduna Dry” “Return our stolen wealth” and others demanded the return of all the funds stolen by the El-Rufai administration.
Recall that Governor Uba Sani had claimed that he could not pay the monthly salaries of workers due to the enormous debt by the administration led by Nasir El-Rufai.
