Sowore Regains Freedom Hours After Detention

The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS has just released Omoyele Sowore a few hours after it Detained him and seized his passport on his arrival at Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos State on Sunday.

It was gathered that the NIS detained him following his name being on the watchlist of the Department of State Service, DSS over the October protest against tyranny and economic hardship plaguing the country.

In a post on Sunday, the Revolution Now convener stated that he has been released and his passport returned to him.

“I have just been released. My passport and everything have been returned to me.”
