Nasir El-Rufai, the former Governor of Kaduna State, has raised alarms over an alleged scheme by the government to arrest, detain, and torture him in retaliation for his outspoken criticisms.
The APC stalwart made these claims in a post on his verified X handle, addressing concerns raised by his supporter, Imran U. Wakili, regarding rumors of his potential arrest.
El-Rufai stated that he had received warnings from his relatives about the alleged plot, suggesting that the government aimed to intimidate him into exile.

Despite these threats, the former governor expressed his resolve, stating that he is unafraid of arrest, torture, or even death. He also revealed plans to return to Nigeria by February 20, underscoring his defiance against those behind the alleged scheme.
This revelation has sparked anxiety among his supporters and raised further questions about the government’s motives.
