Former Governor of Edo State and a serving Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, caused a major disruption at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 1 (MMA 1) early Tuesday morning after he reportedly locked the gate to the Zulu terminal in protest over missing his flight.

Oshiomhole, who arrived at the terminal at approximately 6:20 a.m. for a 6:30 a.m. Air Peace flight to Abuja, was denied boarding as the airline had already closed check-in and proceeded with an on-time departure.
According to airport sources, this marks the second consecutive day the former governor arrived just minutes before departure for his scheduled flight.
Enraged by the situation, Oshiomhole allegedly ordered the terminal gate locked, effectively halting passenger movement and leaving scores of travellers stranded. His actions forced Air Peace to divert operations for subsequent flights to another terminal to continue services.

In a viral Video Passengers expressed frustration over the incident, with many missing appointments and experiencing delays. Airport authorities and airline staff worked to restore normalcy and decongest the terminal area.
Neither Oshiomhole nor his aides have issued an official statement regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, reacting to the incident, Air Peace urged all its customers to remain calm and condemned the disruptive nature of Comrade Oshiomole, stating that such behaviour was unacceptable.
It revealed that it is committed to discipline, integrity and respect for due process, noting that no individual, no matter how influential, is above these values.
