Ghana Deports 68 Foreign Nationals Including Nigerians
At least 42 Nigerians have been deported from Ghana’s Ashanti Region following court rulings over alleged offences including prostitution, fraud and related criminal activities, Ghanaian authorities have confirmed.

The deportations were announced by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Frank Amoakohene, in a post on his official Facebook page. He said the affected individuals were removed from the country after due judicial processes involving multiple cases.
According to Amoakohene, the Nigerians formed the largest group among the deportees. In addition, 13 Cameroonians, three Ivorians, three Burkinabe nationals and seven citizens of Benin were also deported, bringing the total number of foreign nationals affected to 68.
The regional minister said the action was part of ongoing efforts by authorities to enforce Ghana’s laws and maintain public order in the region.
He added that security agencies would continue to collaborate with the courts and immigration officials to address criminal activities involving both citizens and non-citizens, while ensuring that legal procedures are followed.
