Zulum Distributes Food Items to Christian Widows, Vulnerable
Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has distributed essential food items to widows and vulnerable members of the Christian community in preparation for the upcoming Christmas celebrations.

The gesture is expected to benefit over 6,000 people across the state, including 1,605 internally displaced persons (IDPs). Each of the IDPs received a bag of rice, one carton of spaghetti, and one gallon of cooking oil to help ease the burden of the festive season.
The distribution exercise, which took place on Monday, is part of the governor’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and promoting inclusiveness, regardless of religious or social background.

For the past five years, the state government has sustained the tradition of providing support to Christian communities during major religious celebrations.
Beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and a reflection of the government’s concern for the welfare of all residents of the state.
